All of the trustees and management team at Yateley Industries are actively engaged and committed to ensuring the continued development and to further the objects of the charity to ensure a sustainable future.

Senior Management Team

The Senior Management Team is responsible for the operational delivery of the Charity’s strategic aims.

Sheldon McMullan

Sheldon is an accomplished charity leader who has over 20 years’ experience in designing, delivering and evaluating award-winning services which are co-produced, inclusive and innovative.

He has worked across housing, young people’s services and with many marginalised groups across the UK, so is excited to bring those skills to his new love, Yateley Industries.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees oversee the strategic direction of the charity and ensure that the activities meet the objects of the charity.  Our Trustees all actively participate in the development of the charity and share ultimate responsibility for the governance and legal responsibilities for the continuing viability of the organisation.

The trustees are all volunteers and are elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Sarah Beckwith

Sarah is a Chartered Surveyor, who worked in the property industry for 15 years advising clients on lease negotiation and asset management strategies. She has held numerous leadership roles in global not-for-profit organisations Toastmasters International and Junior Chamber International (JCI), including National President (Chair) of JCI UK.

Combining her property, governance and communication experience, Sarah now has a portfolio career of non-executive board roles and her own training business.

Mark Allen

Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has over 30 years’ experience in the UK long term insurance and pensions sectors.

He has held several roles up to and including board level in a number of UK financial services companies.

Carolyn Gibb

Carolyn worked in risk and technology for the Financial Services industry in the City of London for over 25 years and has gained a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 2004.

She is now retired and welcomes the opportunity to use her time, skills and experience to support Yateley Industries.

Neil Blackley

Neil Blackley is Chairman of Simplestream, a leading video streaming technology platform, and Chairman of Ingenious Estate Planning, an investment fund specialising in property and infrastructure. Previously he was Chairman of the Media Advisory Board to Apax Partners, and on the board of Freud Communications, a leading PR agency. Prior to that, Neil worked as European media analyst at James Capel, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch over a 20-year period.

Neil is a Trustee of Fitzroy, the national adult disability charity, as well as Yateley Industries for the Disabled and a volunteer for Age Concern Petersfield.

He holds an MBA from the London Business School and a B. Sc (Eng.) from Imperial College.

Edward Brunel-Cohen

Edward is a Chartered Account and is now semi-retired, having stood down in 2015 from his role as Global Director of Finance and IT at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) in the City of London, where he had been for five years.  Previously, he built an internet-based company that he co-founded in the USA and the UK.

His early career was in the accountancy profession (latterly with Neville Russell, now known as Mazars), which he left to become finance director of a major group of Lloyd’s insurance underwriting agencies.

Lucy Delemos

Lucy has worked in the not-for profit sector for 10 years in various strategic leadership roles. In 2020 she completed a diploma in Fundraising with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, of which she is a member.

She has a background in marketing and business management and is delighted to be able to bring her experience and skills to the trustee board at Yateley.

Phil Southwell ACA

Philip has a 30-year career in investment banking and principal investing, mostly focused on emerging & frontier markets in Asia, Middle East, Central Europe and in Africa.  Philip is a Partner of Chapel Hill Denham, Sub-Saharan Africa’s and Nigeria’s largest Investment Bank.  Chapel Hill Denham is an investment management and investment advisory firm focused on Nigeria and Africa and has a strong impact objective.

Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales, and graduated from Durham University.  He is married & has four children and lives locally.

Michael Steel

Michael is the Managing Director for Kiwi Education Ltd which is a national apprenticeship training provider delivering qualifications to young people in a variety of sectors.

An entrepreneur at a young age, Michael has worked within the disability arena for many years and is also a past National President for Junior Chamber International UK.

Aaron Phipps

Aaron Phipps M.B.E PLY is our Patron – Aaron is a Paralympic champion in Wheelchair Rugby. He competed in the 2012 Paralympics in London, and in the Tokyo 2020 games where the team won the Gold medal. Aaron is a Motivational speaker, delivering inspirational speeches across the globe. He has presented to FTSE 100 companies, SME, educational establishments. His key focus is on team engagement, resilience and promoting personal and business wellbeing.

In 2016 Aaron climbed Mount Kilimajaro. He became the first disabled person to reach Africa’s summit without assistance.
